As of press time, 14:15 23rd of October 2008, our very own Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is ranked number 1 in the New 7 Wonders of Nature!
Although we haven't been there, my husband and I are so glad to see it on the top of the list!
Voting for nominees will continue through July 7, 2009. Then the New7Wonders of Nature Panel of Experts, under the leadership of Prof. Federico Mayor, former Director-General of UNESCO, will review the top 77 nominees and choose the 21 finalists, to be announced on 21 July 2009. Wow! I'm so proud of my hometown ;) I hope it will continue to be on the top. been voting for it and other nominees as well.
puerto princesa is one of the places i want to go to after i graduate..glad to hear it made to the top
