the beach or the spa

In less than 4 months, Gino and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary! Yeah, clock ticks so fast when you're having a blast (watta rhyme!). It feels like it was just weeks ago when we said our
I Do's! The blissful event that took place July 3rd 2007, 070307 as we prefer to call it, will be a moment we'll hold dear in our hearts at all times.

Last night, over dinner, my husband and I began exchanging our thoughts on how we want to spend our first wedding anniversary. We both couldn't erase the idea of going to Bolinao, Pangasinan! I have inquired already at Punta Riviera Resort and my oh my! The place looks so extravagant (which justifies the sky high rates). Although I know very well there are less expensive resorts in Bolinao, I thought of suggesting why not try a spa getaway somewhere in Manila?

San Benito Farm
and Nurture Spa are totally out of the picture because we prefer one in the heart of the Metro. And here are my finds!

Urban Spa
Co-owned by Tessa Prieto-Valdes located at the Shangri-la Plaza Mall

Neo Day Spa
With branches in Greenhills, Global City and Boracay

Soneva Spa
Located at Tomas Morato, QC

All 3 offer packages for couples and discounts. Now, that's something my husband and I should ponder on. Is it the beach? Is it the spa? In less than 4 months, I know we could save up for an out-of-town trip. But if we'll feel stingy, which is most likely (haha!), we might go for a spa!
